A downloadable simulation for Windows and macOS

A video-game fighting green colonialism in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights (Al Jawlan).

Developed in collaboration with the Jawlani human rights organisation Al Marsad, Zifzafa is a video-game simulation of the noise pollution caused by 31 yet-to-be-built wind turbines with the aim to safeguard the auditory life of the Jawlan from further acts of occupation and dispossession by the Israeli state.

Zifzafa advocates for the right to sonic self-determination on one's land, underscoring the fundamental role of sound in the formation of a community and arguing that it is the people who have the power to determine what is and what is not noise on their land.
